CONNECTING PEOPLE + CULTURE
Californians Building Bridges hosts thoughtfully curated journeys to Cuba that go beyond traditional travel. Designed to encourage cultural exchange and meaningful connections, these small-group experiences provide rare access to the island’s art, music, history, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Explore the colorful streets of Havana, share meals with local creatives, engage with community leaders, and experience Cuba through the eyes of the people who call it home. Each journey is crafted to inspire understanding, build bridges, and create unforgettable memories.
For the last two decades, we have had the privilege of partnering with licensed cultural, religious and business entities and led numerous sanctioned trips with American delegations. In 2010, Darius Anderson founded an exciting non-profit organization, Californians Building Bridges (CBB), which gained independent approval from the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control in 2011 to travel and coordinate educational exchanges.
CBB’s people-to-people program was developed in celebration of culture and to create meaningful interactions between Americans and people abroad. Many of the artists, musicians and community leaders you will meet will reflect responses to economic and cultural isolation in the era of the U.S. embargo and the pandemic.
